Emgage PAC Endorses Michigan Gubernatorial Candidate Gretchen Whitmer along with Candidates in Six Other Key Races
Canton, MI – Emgage PAC, one of the largest Muslim American federal PACs, has announced its endorsement of Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan’s Democratic gubernatorial candidate. As a former State Senator and prosecutor, Whitmer has a proven track record of ensuring that every Michigander receives fair representation, regardless of who they are or where they live. As Governor, one of Whitmer’s key priorities will be ensuring access to clean water, especially for the people of Flint. She also plans to build a diverse cabinet that fully reflects and represents the people of Michigan.
“I’m so proud to have this endorsement because Michiganders need a governor who will get things done for everyone in our state,” said Whitmer. “As Governor, I will be committed to ensuring Michigan’s Muslim Americans have a seat at the table and a respected voice in my cabinet. I will work with organizations like Emgage to ensure we’re bringing people together to solve the tough problems and building a better Michigan where everyone can thrive. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get it done.”
Along with Ms. Whitmer’s endorsement, Emgage PAC announced its endorsement of candidates in six other key races in Michigan:
