Emgage PAC Endorses Nabila Mansoor for Sugar Land City Council District 2
Houston, TX – Emgage PAC is proud to endorse former Emgage Texas Executive Director Nabila Mansoor for Sugar Land City Council District 2. She is a highly qualified candidate with a proven track record and shares our values and vision of an inclusive and tolerant America.
“Nabila has been a tireless advocate for the Muslim community in the greater Houston area. For years, she has served not just the Muslim community, but the community at large with dedication, which is why we are pleased to endorse her candidacy,” said Sana Shahid, Emgage Texas Executive Director.
Nabila Mansoor has been a grassroots organizer in Texas for the past 17 years. Her track record includes working for organizations which serve communities of color, especially Hispanic and Muslim communities. She has volunteered extensively to ensure that everyone has accessibility to voting, fought for the rights of immigrants, and has been an advocate and community leader for underserved communities.
Nabila is of Pakistani descent and a mother of three. She is a lawyer and currently serves as the Census Director for the Empowering Communities Initiative where she is working to ensure that the underrepresented communities in the greater Houston area participate in Census 2020.
