FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Emgage PAC Endorses Tampa Mayoral Candidate Harry Cohen
Tampa, FL – Emgage PAC, the largest Muslim American political action committee in the nation, announced its endorsement of Tampa City Councilman Harry Cohen for Mayor of Tampa. Emgage PAC believes that Councilman Cohen offers a vision for Tampa that is forward-looking and inspiring. We believe he has the experience, credentials, and a strong grasp of the issues vital to lead Tampa into the future.
Emgage PAC strongly believes that Councilman Cohen’s two terms on city council give him the right tools and experiences needed to lead Tampa. His emphasis on infrastructure including issues such as transportation, the impacts of climate change and affordable housing are at the core of what needs to be addressed within Tampa as more people move into the region. We share Councilman Cohen’s commitment to diversity and belief that the diversity of our communities makes the city of Tampa stronger.
“This endorsement is very important to me because it demonstrates that I will get things done for all of Tampa’s citizens. As Mayor, I will be committed to making sure that Tampa’s Muslim Americans have a seat at the table and will work with organizations like Emgage to build a better Tampa for everyone.” – Councilman Cohen
