Emgage PAC and I-PAC Georgia Announce Partnership

Washington, D.C. – Emgage PAC, the nation’s largest Muslim American political action committee, and I-PAC Georgia, a political action committee that strengthens, promotes and protects citizenship and representation for Georgia’s Muslim Americans, are proud to announce their partnership. The two organizations will coordinate on vetting, endorsing, and supporting candidates who are committed to an inclusive and just America, especially for ethnic and religious minorities.

Emgage PAC was founded in 2006 with current operations in Washington, D.C., Florida, Virginia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, and New York. A non-partisan political action committee, Emgage PAC saw 137 of its endorsed candidates win elections in 2018, including many elected for the first time to Congress.

I-PAC Georgia was launched in 2016 with a similar objective and to increase Muslim American participation in the American electoral process. I-PAC, which focuses on Georgia, had 14 of its endorsed candidates win elections in the metro Atlanta area.

Emgage PAC CEO Wa’el Alzayat said, “We are excited to partner with the great team at I-PAC Georgia so together, we can help elect the type of candidates that we deserve – candidates who believe that America is an idea rather than a particular religion or ethnicity and an America that takes care of its citizens equally and upholds our values.”

I-PAC President Rizwan Hasan shares the optimism. He said, “Our partnership with Emgage PAC will help widen the message across the country that Muslim Americans count and that with our emphasis on unity, we will have an impact on elections in Georgia and across the country.
