Emgage PAC-Virginia Endorses Jennifer Wexton for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District

McLean, VA- Emgage PAC, one of the largest Muslim American Federal PAC, has announced its endorsement with Jennifer Wexton, a Democratic candidate for Virginia’s 10th congressional district. As State Senator, prosecutor, and children’s advocate, Wexton has demonstrated her commitment to public service for nearly two decades. She has actively spoken out against injustices and as representative, established an excellent track record of passing legislation that matters most to the people of the Commonwealth. Wexton is recognized for her ability to spearhead successful campaigns while uniting Virginians and earning bipartisan respect, a trait that is much needed in today’s political climate.

In 2016, we endorsed Congresswoman Barbara Comstock, and, in turn, our community lost. We thought Comstock would be our ally in Congress because she showed up to our events, and talked about supporting our community.  And yet, she has done nothing meaningful to hold this president to account, take on the Muslim Ban, address the gun violence epidemic that leaves every parent scared. The threats in Washington right now are grave, and we have before us a candidate who will meaningfully look out for our best interests in Congress.

“I am proud to receive the endorsement of Emgage PAC,” stated Jennifer. “Muslim Americans have a rich history in our country and are a growing, vibrant community in the 10th district. I’m excited to represent and advocate for Muslim Americans and all communities in the district in Congress.”

Emgage PAC advocates for issues and endorses candidates that support civil liberties, minority rights and a diverse America where underrepresented communities are seen as a vital part of the social fabric in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We aim to build strong political support to bring civility to the political discourse and work to ensure that Muslim communities have a voice in our nation’s political dialogue.
