Her husband, Keith, is a small business owner and volunteers with interfaith outreach in the community. Together, they have three beautiful children and live in Prince William County. Keisha is running as a Democrat to transform her passion for service into policy for the working families of Virginia’s 2nd state house district.
Keisha’s legislative priorities are:
- Education Reform – Keisha believes that an investment in our schools is an investment in our future. She pledges to legislate and promote school finance, staff pay and support, and investment in mental health and special education
- COVID Relief – Like many other small businesses in Virginia, Keisha’s family’s small business was heavily impacted by the pandemic. She will work to legislate and fight to get the proper relief to support small businesses. She will also promote the necessary tools and relief needed to help the residents of the second district, such as: testing, PPE, mortgage & rental assistance, unemployment assistance, and broadband accessibility
- Criminal Justice Reform – Keisha is dedicated to legislating and promoting a reform to our criminal justice system. She is committed to ending cash bail, investing and reforming our juvenile justice system, investing in mental health, end death penalty and taking a hard look at policies towards ending the crisis of mass incarceration.
- Affordable Healthcare – The key to making healthcare more affordable, is taking a good look at what drives healthcare costs. Keisha is committed to legislating and promoting ways we can regulate costs so that healthcare is more affordable and accessible to all Virginia’s.
Keisha aspires for a campaign built on service and putting people first. Together, you and Keisha can make Virginia an even better place to call home.
