These individuals have demonstrated a strong commitment to public service, and their values align with Emgage PAC’s mission to protect our pluralistic democracy, support the Muslim American community’s policy priorities, and champion the rights of underrepresented communities.

The endorsed candidates have a proven track record in serving diverse communities and building trust by showing up where they are needed. They have shown an understanding of the issues the Muslim American community is most affected by, along with a dedication to finding and implementing solutions. Emgage PAC believes that their leadership will contribute to positive change and progress in not only the districts and counties they serve but Texas overall.

“All of our candidates understood the urgency of combating all forms of hate, including anti-Muslim hate, amid a national rise in hate incidents and atmosphere of oppression,” said Farrukh Shamsi, State Chair for Emgage PAC Texas. “Moreover, those endorsed candidates who are running for positions involving foreign policy displayed a commitment to ending the bloodshed and destruction in Gaza and forging a path to sustainable peace, freedom, and safety for Palestine. At a time when the U.S. and Texas governments have been complicit in supporting the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians abroad and downplaying the suffering of Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim communities at home, our endorsed candidates’ empathy and clear understanding of these issues were critically important.”

Emgage PAC encourages voters to support our endorsees in the upcoming March Primary Elections. For more information about Emgage PAC and its endorsement process, please visit emgagepac.org.
