Karen Green
Karen Green is a mother and grandmother. She has corporate, non-profit and civic experience that will deliver results to Seminole and Volusia. Her story is your story. We were given the American Dream. We believed in this promise and we worked everyday to achieve it. Maybe like your mom or grandma, she is an immigrant. She was born to a strong Jamaican family. But as a teenager, she became pregnant and her family had to struggle with her choice. In her early twenties, she immigrated to the US but suffered from a complicated marriage. When she was 32, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She is a cancer survivor BUT she endured crippling healthcare expenses that forced her to foreclose on these debts. She has experienced, learned and survived many of our greatest fears. After a great deal of work, she earned an executive position at a highly regarded cruise line in Florida. During that time, she was able to oversee a private/public partnership and deliver hurricane relief during Katrina. She served our brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico during Hurricane Maria and has been in close contact with resources during Ian. She can deliver results. She has delivered and will continue to deliver results for us in Seminole and Volusia Counties.
